Fabric Collage Print - Red Fox

This giclée print features a red fox caught mid-turn—ears perked, eyes alert—just as you might glimpse one pausing in the dunes along Park Point. The original collage was crafted with hand-dyed fabrics, including a sand-textured cloth overdyed with burnt sienna to reflect the warm tones of Minnesota’s Lake Superior shoreline. Layer by layer, the fox’s rich fur and the surrounding grasses take shape, creating a sense of movement and depth.

Red Fox was awarded the Third Place Jury Prize at the 30th Annual Arts North International at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. This print honors the fox’s quiet presence and the wild beauty of the coastal landscape.
