This piece was inspired by childhood summers spent picking wild strawberries with my mom. It was hot, buggy, and honestly, hard work—but always worth it when she turned those tiny berries into the most delicious strawberry jam. I stitched those memories into this collage using hand-dyed fabrics and embroidered details to bring the leaves, blossoms, and berries to life. The background is vintage ring-spun indigo denim and the frame is made from reclaimed weathered cedar—natural, simple materials that echo the wildness of those berry patches.
